THE COLONY

PTC welcomes professional Canadian playwrights at any stage of their careers to participate in our annual Playwrights Colony in Vancouver, BC. Four to six playwrights join PTC Literary Manager Martin Kinch and Dramaturg Heidi Taylor, with a nationally recognized guest dramaturg, to develop their plays. The focus is on the individual development of each playwright’s work as well as the creation of a unique, supportive and productive community of playwrights, directors, dramaturgs and actors. Participating playwrights must be available for full-time residency during the Colony and will receive accommodation, a meal allowance and, where necessary, travel to and from Vancouver. The colony takes place over two weeks in November of each year.

PTC Call for Submissions: The Seventh Annual PTC Writers’ Colony

PTC welcomes professional Canadian playwrights at any stage of their careers to apply to our seventh annual Writers’ Colony in Vancouver, BC, October 17-26, 2012. Five playwrights join PTC’s Martin Kinch, Heidi Taylor, with our new Dramaturg, to develop their plays. The focus is on the individual development of each playwright’s work as well as the creation of a unique, supportive and productive community of playwrights, directors, dramaturgs and actors. Participating playwrights must be available for full-time residency during the Colony and will receive a stipend and, where necessary, accommodation and travel to and from Vancouver.
