The Vancouver Fringe Festival and Playwrights Theatre Centre are shaking it up with a brand new spin on our emerging artist opportunity. Give a warm welcome to the new PTC Fringe Prize!

We’re calling BC emerging artists of all performance genres who want to tell their stories, including playwrights! Whether you do burlesque, comedy, dance, clowning, circus, magic, drag, music, or any other live-performance genre, we want you!

The program offers:

• Thirteen months of dramaturgy with PTC Dramaturg, Davey Samuel Calderon 
• Minimum 3 weeks of rehearsal space
• Production mentorship for the dedicated producer-collaborator or producing teams (including grant writing workshop, production plan development, and fundraising support etc)
• Artist passes for the 2025 Fringe Festival
• A free and guaranteed space on the Fringe Mainstage, September 2026.

 All production costs are the responsibility of the prize winner.
